In this article, on the basis of a comprehensive analysis and study of the complex processes features occurring in a catalytic reforming installation for primary oil refining, the development of a physically based mathematical formulation of the problem for the optimizing the functioning of one of the main and important blocks of the plant under study, namely the reactor block, is considered.
